Who's permanent.

I always enjoy the way Ashley Wilcox spins a story. She keeps you interested in the story she's telling from beginning to end.  She is known for her Contemporary Romance style.  With each book of hers I've read I've seen her grow as a writer.  This book was the proof she's got what it will take to make it long term in this business.  In Permanent Lines, Ashley takes her writing to a new level.  She took herself outside the Contemporary Romance box, stretched and expanded her ability and hit it out of the park with this Contemporary Romance Thriller. Nicely done, Ashley!

I could not put this book down and there were way too many times I needed to do something else.  I found myself just walking around with it while I did those other things.  I couldn't imagine where this author was taking me next.  I loved Merrick Drake in Running From Forever.  When I heard she was going to give him his own book and elaborate on his story, honestly I thought, "That's nice but a whole book?  I don't know how much there could be."  Wow!!! Not only did he fill this book but I would love to see more Merrick Drake novels.  Such a great, complex, rich character Ashley brought to life for me.  He's a badass, bad boy with a heart of pure gold.  I love me some Merrick!

Initially, I understood he thought he found his one true love but seriously, this is a guy that can have any woman he wants.  I kept thinking, "It was so brief with Amelia, get over her and move on!"  When she reentered his life, I felt like I held my breath to the end and saw the depth and breadth that is Merrick Drake and how much he loves this woman.  With each self-sacrificing thing he does throughout this story, I fell harder and harder for him.

If I get one wish granted today, it would be that everyone get to read this book and experience Merrick for themselves.

Some may consider me a jack of all trades, but I consider myself well rounded.
I’ve waitressed, styled hair, answered phones and, most recently, worked full time as mom to my two beautiful little boys.
Then there was this book… Everyone and their brother started talking about this book series titled Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James. I didn’t really pay attention to the craze at first, since I wasn’t a big reader- okay, I didn’t read at all. But curiosity got the best of me, so I downloaded it to my kindle.
I was immediately hooked. I read the whole series in three days. Yes, three books in three days.
I kept finding all these great books that I HAD to read (just ask my credit card!).
Then I started hearing voices. Voices that turned into stories; stories that were begging to get out of my head.
I started writing them down on scraps of paper. Then I transferred them to my computer. Before I knew it, Planning on Forever was born.
The voices in my head are still talking, so I’m still writing.
